Old Hickory, TN

Named in honor of President Andrew Jackson, whose nickname was “Old Hickory”, this city sits along the Cumberland river and Old Hickory Lake formed by the Old Hickory Lake Dam with a population of approximately 25,000 people. Historically, residents moved here to be a part of the Dupont Gunpowder plant and built several of the homes now on the National Register of Historic Places in an area called “The Village”. Today the city is growing and contains man local favorites like Lawrence and Clark Cacti Co., Lakewood Community Theatre, and Sam's Sports Grill at Blue Turtle Bay.
